About Us

Pacenote.com, based in the Ribble Valley (Lancashire) is a family business owned and run by Helen & Martin Meadows. The business was established in 1989 and based on first hand experience having competed successfully in rallying at National & International level.

Martin initially developed the Rally Pacenote System Pacenote Book for his brother John, who was co-driving in the Mitsubishi World Rally team at the time. The system has since gone on to become a market leader in the rallying world. The Original Pacenote Book has been used by numerous World Champions including Derk Ringer and Daniel Elena, plus several other top co-drivers including Dan Barritt, Torstein Eriksen and Anders Jæger. It's still our most popular book today.

The A4 Pacenote Book naturally followed, and was originally developed specifically for Nicky Grist and Phil Mills to use in their WRC exploits. Today, it's still the book of choice for many competitors including Nicolas Gilsoul and Martin Järveoja.

We developed the Vertical Pacenote Book for Robert Reid and Fabrizia Pons, who both devised a method of writing their pacenotes in just two vertical column. Although a unique way of doing things, some prefer this method and this system is used by a number of co-drivers including Seb Marshall and Scott Martin in the WRC.

Aside from Pacenote Books, we're the number one supplier for other co-driver equipment such as watches, stationery, sundries and bags. Decades of involvement with rallying has succeeded us as experts in this field. Unlike many others, we put co-drivers first and are proud to support competitors from grassroots level right up to the World Championship.
